Healthy Bluffdale Coalition Lite Meeting 8/17/23 Fire Station 2 DISCUSSION Frank Devito, President Matty Conway, pop health epidemiologist Julida Glade, SLC health department Jen Lingwall, SLC Health department ATTENDEES Jeff Eason, SLC health department Emily Quist, board member Liz Barney, board member Brighton Wilson-member Matty has returned to discuss the specific Bluffdale questions we requested Objectives: INTRO Decide what we want to focus on Decide stake holder interviews T-shirts Matty: Presentation on HPI data Provided handout, Data Scan sheet, with specific data info Priority ideas: Walkability Tree canopy Public transit acess: Does the of UT have future plans for Bluffdale Air Quality: -Radon Test Deciding on a Focus and -PBT (Lead, Mercury) Stakeholder discussion Choice: Air Quality-unanimous vote by the present voting body Stake holders: Liz-will reach out to schools Brighton-City Housing Development Bart-Stakeholder for City Emergency Management Emily-Utah Radon Coalition All-East vs. West Bluffdale residents Older vs younger residents, age variation Frank-Geneva Rock Frank-Sunroc Frank-Camp Williams Julia-Doctor office (Family First Pediatrics/South Valley) State air quality division Brighton-University Matty and Jeff-Data on air quality Goal to be done by next meeting: September 21st Jen will email Stake Holder questions Discuss voting on Brighton’s membership to the board T-shirts: Healthy Bluffdale Coalition theme Needs city logo and county logo 100 T-shirts MISC DISCUSSION Need to create excel sheet with budget and expenditures Julia discuss $1000 to be donated to Healthy Bluffdale Coalition for incentives Frank interested in purchasing Purple kits. Julia and Jen will look into this. Issue Overview Handout WORKGROUP PARTICIPANT PREPARATION 1. Be prepared to (verbally) share your completed Data Summary Tools in the meeting 2. Complete other assigned tasks and be prepared to report on outcome/status 3. Review the Data Tips document 4. Review the Issue Overview Handout AGENDA 1.
