Chirsty Announcements & Upcoming Events: 1. Naloxone Kits were delivered for coalition 1. Need to watch training video prior to giving out and instruct people when giving 2. Julia will double check on race arch details prior to ordering 3. Old West Days: Coalition can volunteer time, but cannot offer financial support. 1. Need volunteers for youth night Aug 7, 2024 4. Sustainability for coalition 1. Consideration on keeping fiscal agent for coalition w/ Bluffdale City or moving to another agency such as 501C3. 2. Camille has a 501C3 and has established a few. She shared her experience and knowledge of the application process. 3 people would need to be listed for the board. 3. Julia will contact Herriman coalition to see how their experience of partnering with a 501C3 5. Coalition Considering applying for Salt Lake County Health RFA for coalition funding 1. Coalition will reply by tomorrow after reviewing grant information if they want to apply for this grant. 2. Liz asked if it is a possibility to apply for grant then move fiscal agent later. 6. Bylaws & Mission Statement: To be reviewed and voted on 1. The bylaws posted by Liz in March 2023 are the newest version and they will review 2. “The Mission of the Healthy Bluffdale Coalition is to create a resilient, healthy community by fostering health and overall wellness, connecting youth, parents, families and community members, and by promoting risk prevention through evidence-based initiatives.” Step 5 of Coalitions Lite process: Step 4: Providing information and communication through educational presentations, workshops or seminars… Priorities: Mental Health Population: the community of Bluffdale Contributing Factors: lack of connection Finalizing drafting the Strategic Plan: 1. Reviewed template that is on the shared drive. Sections include: 1. Background/history (Liz). Coalition first established Aug 2022 2. Overview of workgroup timelines and strategies that were developed along the process of completing Coalitions Lite. 3. Rationale, Strategic Priorities, etc. 4. Executive Summary (Camille) 5. All unassigned sections will be completed by Brighton 6. This will be a document that the coalition can share with Bluffdale City and other coalition stakeholders. 2. Assigned sections due by April 11, 2024. This will give Camille time to complete executive summary! 3. Coalition unofficially agreed on the strategic plan being a 3 year term based off of the timeframe that the Get Healthy Utah designation utilizes. They will review amendments that need to be evaluated and timing for re-evaluation Wrap Up: 1. Next meeting will be held April 18, 6:30pm 1. We will vote on finalized strategic plan during this meeting 2. Julia will send link to survey for completing Step 6 3.
