Minutes of the Special Called City Council meeting of February 25, 2022.
Present: Council Member Nina Woolard, Council Member Bryce Boddie, and
Council Member Joseph Macaluso.
Absent: Mayor Tim Handren, Mayor Pro Tem Ty Wolosin, and Council Member
Quinten Scott.
Registered/Recognized Guests: Due to the nature of the event, guests did not
register.
1. CALL TO ORDER – 1:00 PM
The meeting was called to order at 1:00 p.m.
2. WELCOME
Police Chief Steve Perez welcomed those in the audience. He introduced City
Manager Ben Thatcher.
City Manager Thatcher congratulated Cody Lackey, recognizing that he and
Captain Perez have different strengths that compliment each other.
3. SWEARING IN CEREMONY FOR ASSISTANT POLICE CHIEF CODY LACKEY
Chief Perez recognized Lackey's history with the Boerne Police Department,
beginning his career as a Dispatcher when he was 19 years old. Chief Perez
announced the appointment of Cody Lackey to Assistant Chief of Police.
Assistant Chief Lackey's family assisted with the pinning of the badge.

4. CLOSING REMARKS
Assistant Chief Lackey expressed appreciation to past and present supervisors
for their support. He also expressed appreciation to his friends and family.
5. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 1:11 p.m.
