BORDENTOWN CITY, NEW JERSEY February 9, 2026 Meeting declared open at 7:06pm by Mayor Lagos Pledge of Allegiance: Nora Chestnut, Bordentown City Girl Scout Sunshine Statement Deputy Clerk, Brittney Chenosky Roll Call: Mayor Lagos, Deputy Mayor Sciortino & Commissioner Archer all present Minutes Approval: January 12, 2026, Motion Mayor Lagos seconded by Deputy Mayor Sciortino Oath of Office: Patrolman Michael Haggerty, given by Deputy Mayor Sciortino. Events/Communication: Raffle License - Basket of Cheer Consolidated Fire Assoc. MAYOR LAGOS – DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC PROPERTY, STREETS AND WATER Motion made by Mayor Lagos, seconded by Deputy Mayor Sciortino. Motion carried. Ordinance 2026-001 nd 2 Reading and Public Hearing of Lease agreement Pegasus Theatre The Commissioners voted to postpone the 2nd reading/public hearing and any consideration of the ordinance until further notice. Motion made by Mayor Lagos, seconded by Deputy Mayor Sciortino. Motion carried. Resolution 2026-026 Appointing part-time Administrator Michael Lapolla Motion made by Mayor Lagos, seconded by Deputy Mayor Sciortino. Motion carried. Resolution 2026-027 Expanding the Old City Hall Restoration from nine to eleven members. Resolution 2026-028 Appoint Old City Hall Restoration Committee Members Motion made by Mayor Lagos, seconded by Deputy Mayor Sciortino. Motion carried. Resolution 2026-029 Appointment of Planning Board Members Motion made by Mayor Lagos, seconded by Deputy Mayor Sciortino. Motion carried. Resolution 2026-030 Appointment of Shade Tree Committee Motion made by Mayor Lagos, seconded by Commissioner Archer. Motion carried. Resolution 2026-031 Appointment of Sewer Authority Member Motion made by Mayor Lagos, seconded by Commissioner Archer. Motion carried. Resolution 2026-032 Designating Clare Estates as a redevelopment area Motion made by Mayor Lagos, seconded by Commissioner Archer. Motion carried. Ordinance 2026-002 Increase Farmers Market fees DEPUTY MAYOR SCIORTINO, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND AFFAIRS Police Report read by Deputy Mayor Sciortino detailing Activities – January 5, 2026 – February 2, 2026 Motion made by Deputy Mayor Sciortino, seconded by Mayor Lagos, Motion carried. Resolution 2026-034 Authorization for Aerial Mosquito Control with the Burlington County Department of Public Works Motion made by Deputy Mayor Sciortino, seconded by Commissioner Archer. Motion carried. Resolution 2026-035 Authorization for K-9 Donation Agreement – Patrolman Joshua Gardner #6039 COMMISSIONER ARCHER, DIRECTOR OF REVENUE AND FINANCE Treasurers Report read by Commissioner Archer for month Ending January 12, 2026. Tax Collector Report read by Commissioner Archer for month Ending January 12, 2026. Motion made by Commissioner Archer, seconded by Mayor Lagos, Motion carried. Resolution 2026-036 Approving Payment of Bills Motion made by Commissioner Archer, seconded by Deputy Mayor Sciortino, Motion carried. Resolution 2026-037 Authorize 2026 COLA Adjustments Motion made by Commissioner Archer, seconded by Mayor Lagos, Motion carried. Resolution 2026-038 Appoint Deputy Clerk Brittney Chenosky Motion made by Commissioner Archer, seconded by Mayor Lagos, Motion carried. Resolution 2026-039 Appoint Risk Management Firm Public Comment John Hill, Crosswicks St. Asked about Clare Estate redevelopment. Snow removal has not been done, and the property is in disarray. Mike Fanikos, Bunting Drive, Chesterfield, spoke on behalf of the Bordentown Little League asked about the Request for Information (RFI) submissions due date extension if possible. Jim Walton, Rte. 206, asked about BABL being charged for using the gym at Carslake this year. Jason Bloodgoood also spoke on behalf of the Bordentown Little Leage asked about the gymnasium at the City Complex and paying to be used. Bonnie Golman, who spoke on behalf of the Historical Society, asked if the gymnasium can be used for public meetings. Asked if the Request for Information (RFI) can be extended. Kathy Dawson, E. Chestnut St., asked if Pegasus could use the space at Carslake. Cathy Shaw mentioned the Earth Talk dates which are 2/25/26 and 3/25/26. Mike Militch, Second St. Spoke on behalf of the Bordentown Little League asked about the amount it would cost for the improvements to the gymnasium. The ADA accessible bathrooms were mentioned. Dan Aubrey asked about the snow removal at Old City Hall. Mentioned having a time limit on speaking during public comment.
