Bordentown City Environmental Commission Meeting of July 10, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. Via Zoomr AGENDA Call to Order Public Meeting Statement (regular meeting held under the provisions of the Open Public Meetings/Sunshine Law; adequate notice has been provided by posting at City Hall and transmitted to the Burlington County Times) Roll Call Approve Meeting Minutes for June 12, 2024 Correspondence (none) Reports and Recap  Planning Board Report (Lynn)  D&R Greenway & Abbott Marshland Reports (Joel)  Creative Team (Dan)  Noise pollution presentation June 25 by Dan Aubrey  Green Team meeting June 17, 2024 –See attached summary o Highlights:  Kara Parker did a presentation about her Girl Scout Gold Award project –focus is Fast Fashion. Kara is looking for support from the City BCEC/Green Team.  June 30 Park clean up – the team finished cutting knotweed at Spring St. Park, as well as a section of knotweed at Oliver Street Park. There is a lot more knotweed at Oliver St. Park.  Weekly Park clean ups (weeding) every Wednesday starting at 8 am will continue through August, with focus on pollinator gardens, although due to need we also included the iris garden at Hilltop Park.  Rain Barrel workshop July 27  July meeting will be a potluck dinner on July 29; all welcome. Location TBD.  August 4 family-friendly water quality activity at the Farmers Market, in coordination with the Watershed Ambassador. Discussion Items Information and updates (discussion only if needed)  Trails Work Group – members appointed at 6/10/24 Board of Commissioners meeting. First meeting will be scheduled after week of July 15, which is the 2nd reading of the ordinance creating the group. Upcoming events: July 27 Rain Barrel workshop July 29 Green Team potluck dinner August 4 Family-friendly Water Quality activity 9 am to 1 pm @ the Farmers Market. September – public works pizza party, date TBD Quarterly Check-In Report (Q1 in March, Q2 in June, Q3 in Sept, Q4 in Dec) Representatives of these subcommittees/initiatives will present a status report on a quarterly basis.  Farmer’s Market  Community Garden *****PUBLIC COMMENT**** Adjournment Next meeting: WEDNESDAY, August 14, 2024, at 7:00 pm (Via Zoom)
