Chandler (hereinafter referred to as the City), and; THE BOSSIER PARISH SCHOOL BOARD, a duly organized political subdivision of the State of Louisiana, represented herein by its duly appointed President, Kent Bockhaus, (hereinafter referred to as the School Board). Both parties have been duly sworn, state and agree to the following: There is an existing need for traffic control officers to direct or organize the flow of both public and private vehicular traffic in order to ensure the safety of the students and their families (and/or caretakers) as said students are transported to and from school during the school year. The access roads and intersections (of the affected schools) located within the corporate limits of the City are the following: a) W.T. Lewis Elementary School 4701 Modica Lott Rd. Bossier City, LA 711 11 b) Parkway High School 2010 Collen Drive Bossier City, LA 71 I 12 The School Board can procure the services of traffic control officers at a more cost-effective rate than the City. In order for the School Board to assume the duty of procuring the services of said personnel, it is necessary for the City to transfer to the School Board the sum of TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($25,000.00) to offset the Board's costs of said services to direct traffic at the above listed schools. Due to the above described sum being substantially less than the cost of Bossier City Police Department to provide said services, the City shall hereby transfer and deliver the sum of TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($25,000.00) to the School Board. The School Board shall in turn, procure the services of traffic control officers to the above listed schools for the 2023-2024 school year.
