Bound Brook Cultural Arts Committee Meeting Minutes - February 16, 2026 Attending Andrew S. Golden, Anna Shaffner, Billy Mild, Curt Schmidt, Linda Brnicevic Absent Trina Folkes, Mary Swarbrick, Bonnie Grube, Beverly Pranzatelli, Maria Gabrielle Daza Also Gail Woerner (Brook Arts Center Executive Director) Present 1. Call to Order Meeting called to order at 7:16 PM. 2. Approval of Minutes Minutes from January 19, 2026 meeting approved unanimously (5-0). Curt Schmidt moved; Andrew S. Golden seconded. 3. Unfinished Business a. National Night Curt Schmidt and Linda Brnicevic to lead BBCAC's presence at the event. Out (Aug 4) b. Battle of Bound Anna Shaffner following up with schools regarding student involvement. Brook (Apr 11) Linda Brnicevic to check with the borough on event planning status. c. Memorial Day The memorial day committee is gathering interest from organizations via Parade email. d. Murder Mystery Linda Brnicevic following up with restaurants on pricing. August 21 Dinner tentative. e. Bylaws Bylaws adopted with amendment adding Section 2D: Borough Council liaison. Anna Shaffner moved; Curt Schmidt seconded. Approved unanimously (5-0). 4. New Business  a. Brook Youth Two full scholarships ($500 each) and two partial scholarships ($250 Theatre Scholarships each) for a total of $1,500. Linda Brnicevic moved; Anna Shaffner seconded. Passed 3-0-2 (Curt Schmidt and Andrew S. Golden abstained). b. Annual Report Billy Mild to draft and bring to March meeting. c. Communication Members to submit best contact information to the Secretary. d. Community Need identified for arts digest/newsletter and active social media. Outreach Volunteers needed. e. Wayfinding / Gail Woerner suggested a community digital billboard near the train Digital Billboard station. Andrew Golden to research costs and feasibility. f. Community Anna Shaffner raised the need for a centralized community events Calendar calendar. Linda Brnicevic to raise with Borough Council. g. Public Access Andrew Golden to investigate availability for community use. Cable h. Schedule Changes September meeting moved to September 14 (Yom Kippur conflict). December meeting moved to December 14 (holiday proximity). 5. Announcements Bonnie Grube Wishes to step down from the committee. Organ Tom Rogers at Bound Brook Presbyterian Church, March 8, 4:00 PM.
