MINUTES of SPECIAL WORK SESSION MEETING
of the BOARD of COMMISSIONERS
of the CITY of BOWLING GREEN, KENTUCKY
held FEBRUARY 7, 2005
The Board of Commissioners of the City of Bowling Green, Kentucky met in special session in
the Commission Chamber of City Hall, Bowling Green, Kentucky at 7:00 p.m. on February 7, 2005.
Mayor Elaine N. Walker called the meeting to order, and the following members were present:
Commissioner Mark D. Alcott, Commissioner Slim Nash, Commissioner Delane Simpson,
Commissioner Brian K. Strow and Mayor Elaine N. Walker. Absent: none. There was a full
quorum of the Board of Commissioners.
WORK SESSION
Mayor Elaine N. Walker stated that this work session was for the purpose of discussion and
presenta t
io nbyt hePl ayBa ll‘05Committee regarding a ballpark plan for downtown Bowling Green.
Committee Chairman Rick Kelley and other consultants involved in the project described the
development and financing plan for a 4,000-seat minor league ballpark and downtown redevelopment
project, including a 100-room hotel with a 10,000 square foot conference center, 258 upscale
residential condos, 30,000 square feet of mixed-use condos and 50,000 square feet of office condos.
Mr. Kelley also presented an action plan and requested preliminary approval of the conceptual
development and financing plan at the February 15, 2005 Board of Commissioners meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
This being a special work session with no action permitted and with no further business to
come before the Board of Commissioners, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Mayor Walker declared this
meeting adjourned.
