MINUTES of SPECIAL MEETING
of the BOARD of COMMISSIONERS
of the CITY of BOWLING GREEN, KENTUCKY
held MARCH 14, 2006
The Board of Commissioners of the City of Bowling Green, Kentucky met in special session in
the Commission Chamber of City Hall, Bowling Green, Kentucky at 3:00 p.m. on March 14, 2006.
Mayor Pro Tem Brian “Sl i
m”Na shcalled the meeting to order. City Clerk Katie Schaller called the
roll, and the following members were present: Commissioner Delane Simpson, Commissioner Mark
D. Alcott, Commissioner Brian K. Strow and Mayor Pro Tem/Commissioner Brian “Slim”Nash.
Absent: Mayor Elaine N. Walker. There was a quorum of the Board of Commissioners.
MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 2006 –51
MUNICIPAL ORDER APPROVING A REDEVELOPMENT
PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT AMONG THE
CITY OF BOWLING GREEN, DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY, INC. AND BOWLING GREEN AREA CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE
Summary of Municipal Order No. 2006 - 51 was read by City Clerk Katie Schaller. City
Attorney Gene Harmon outlined the agreement as discussed at the March 7, 2006 work session with
some modifications since that time. Motion was made by Alcott and seconded by Simpson for
consideration of said Municipal Order. Mayor Pro Tem Nash asked for additional discussion, and
with none, a roll call vote was taken.
ROLL CALL: Voting Yea: Alcott, Simpson, Strow and Nash
Voting Nay: None
Municipal Order No. 2006 - 51 was approved by unanimous vote.
ADJOURNMENT
This being a special meeting and with no further business to come before the Board of
Commissioners, at approximately 3:05 p.m., Mayor Pro Tem Nash declared this meeting adjourned.
