SPECIAL MEETING of the BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS CITY OF BOWLING GREEN, KENTUCKY February 20, 2006, 7:00 p.m. I, Mayor Elaine N. Walker of the City of Bowling Green, Kentucky, pursuant to KRS 83A.150(4), do hereby call a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Bowling Green, Kentucky beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2006 in the Commission Chamber of City Hall, 1001 College Street, for the following: CALL TO ORDER INVOCATION/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE ROLL CALL 1. Approval of Minutes Regular Meeting on February 7, 2006 2. Ordinance No. BG2006 –1 ORDINANCE EXPRESSING INTENT TO DE-ANNEX (Second Reading) PROPERTY Ordinance expressing the intent of the City of Bowling Green to de-annex approximately 44.838 acres located on the northern side of Double Springs Road, between Beech Bend Road and Kentucky Highway 185, as requested by the Housing Authority of Bowling Green 3. Ordinance No. BG2006 –2 ORDINANCE REZONING REAL ESTATE (Second Reading) Ordinance rezoning a tract of land containing 0.1521 acre from RM-4 (Multi-Family Residential) to NB th (Neighborhood Business) located at 321 East 13 Avenue, with binding elements, presently owned by Werner and Sonia Zoglauer 4. Ordinance No. BG2006 –4 ORDINANCE RELATING TO CLASSIFICATION/PAY (Second Reading) SCHEDULE Ordinance amending the Classification/Pay Schedule for Classified and Non-Classified Employees of the City of Bowling Green, Kentucky for Fiscal Year 2006 6. Resolution No. 2006 –2 Resolution supporting enactment of Right to Work legislation by the Commonwealth of Kentucky 2006 General Assembly (Filed 02/02/2006, 1:55 p.m.) 7. Municipal Order No. 2006 –30 Municipal Order authorizing the submission of a grant application to the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance for Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) funds in the amount of $17,703 (Filed 02/07/2006, 2:10 p.m.) 8. Ordinance No. BG2006 –5 ORDINANCE AMENDING CODE OF ORDINANCES (First Reading) Ordinance amending Chapter 5 (Animals) of the City of Bowling Green Code of Ordinances to create new and revised definitions, to require rabies vaccinations for dogs, cats and ferrets, to create revised kennel requirements, to regulate the keeping of exotic or wild animals, to create civil penalties for specified violations and to make other related amendments (Filed 02/09/2006, 10:30 a.m.) 9. Municipal Order No. 2006 –39 Municipal Order authorizing and accepting Bid #2006-26 for chemicals and fertilizers for the Parks and Recreation Department, Golf Division from various vendors in the total amount of $114,381.54 (Filed 02/15/2006, 1:15 p.m.) 19. Municipal Order No. 2006 –40 Municipal Order authorizing and accepting Bid #2006-28 for intersection signalization design professional services from Crowe-Wheeler & Associates of Bowling Green, Kentucky and RPM Transportation Consultants, LLC of Brentwood, Tennessee in the amount of $176,800 (Filed 02/15/2006, 1:15 p.m.) 3 (Agenda-February 20, 2006) 20.
