MINUTES PARK BOARD ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING April 23, 2025 5:30 p.m. A Park Board Advisory Committee meeting was held at City Hall, 16 West Church St., Bowling Green, Missouri on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. at 5:30 p.m. Committee members present were President Christy Dempsey, Elizabeth O’Farrell, Heidi McCollum, Natalie Griggsby, and Kayli Houseworth. Others present were Mayor Jim Arico, and City Clerk/Administrator Linda Luebrecht. Approve Previous Meeting Minutes Heidi made a motion to approve minutes from the previous meeting. Second by Liz. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Coordinator Update Jennifer updated Park Board with everything that she has been doing Old Business New Business 1. Discussion on broken slide at Barb Allison Park. Liz made a motion to purchase replacement slide from Miracle at a cost of $1,511 + freight. Second by Natalie. Motion carried by unanimous vote. 2. Discussion on playground area at big playground area and swing set area. Quotes for purchasing 6x6s to replacing everything was $2,800+. Members tabled discussion to get quote for replacing only severely damaged 6x6s. 3. Discussion on town-wide yard sale set for June 7 – no votes taken Miscellaneous and Visitor City Clerk provided updated on splash pad, park cameras. Christy mentioned she would like to host Tons of Trucks, date was set for Thursday, Sept. 18. RiseBroadband would like to donate $1,000 to Park Board, specifically for ballfield maintenance, in return to place weatherproof signs on the dugouts. The park board was very appreciative and agreed to accept donation. Adjourn Kayli made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Natalie.
