BGVPLANNING DEPARTMENT CITY OF BOWLING GREEN MINUTES: Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting October 11, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. City Administrative Services Building, 305 N. Main St., Bowling Green, Ohio 43402 MEMBERS PRESENT: Tim Emmerich, Judy Ennis, Hobie Johnson, Rod Noble, David Pfleqer and Jay Sockman. MEMBERS ABSENT: Chris Ostrowski All minutes of the meeting including all testimony pertaining to the variance requests were reported by Joan Woessner, Court Reporter, PO Box 545, Bowling Green, Ohio. This record is on file and may be transcribed for the public record. The minutes of the September 13,2023 meeting of the Board were approved as circulated. REQUESTS FOR VARIANCE Scott Guthrie, 711 South Summit Street, requested a variance to allow the construction of a 20 foot by 46 foot addition, which would encroach 20 feet into the 30 foot required rear yard setback to the east in the R-1 Low Density Residential Zone. David Pfleqer moved, Hobie Johnson seconded, that the variance be granted as requested. Motion carried. Yes votes by Tim Emmerich, Judy Ennis, Hobie Johnson, Rod Noble, David Pfleqer and Jay Sockman. No votes by None. Julie Radzimoski requested a variance to allow the construction of a 13 foot by 42 foot patio, with two 12 foot by 12 foot pergolas, which would encroach 8.67 feet into the 30 foot required rear yard setback to the east in the R-1 Low Density Residential Zone at 702 Barnstable Lane. Rod Noble moved, Jay Sockman seconded, that the variance be amended for only the patio, not the pergolas, and granted as requested. Motion carried. Yes votes by Tim Emmerich, Judy Ennis, Hobie Johnson, Rod Noble, David Pfleqer and Jay Sockman. No votes by None. Ben Gingrich, on behalf of Ag Pro, requested a variance to allow the construction of a gravel equipment display area (approximately 76,895 square feet in size), which would not be a hard, dustless surface as required at 829 West Newton Road. Judy Ennis moved, Rod Noble seconded, that the variance be granted as requested. Motion failed. Yes votes by None. No votes by Tim Emmerich, Judy Ennis, Hobie Johnson, Rod Noble, David Pfleqer and Jay Sockman. LOBBY VISITATION Meeting adjourned at 7:53 p.m. y (Chairperson / Secretary 305 N.
