3. CONSENT AGENDA
The purpose of the consent agenda is to expedite business by grouping non-controversial items
together to be dealt with by one Commission motion without discussion. Any member of the
Commission, staff, or the public may ask that any item(s) on the consent agenda be removed and
placed as the last item under new business to receive full discussion. Such requests will be
automatically respected.
A. Approval of City Commission Meeting Minutes
Approve the December 14, 2021 work session meeting minutes as presented.
Approve the December 14, 2021 regular meeting minutes as presented.
B. 2022 Special Event Liquor License
Approve the recommendation from the Boyne City Main Street Board to apply for a special
event liquor license for Boyne Thunder on July 8, 2022 and July 9, 2022 and the Boyne City
Farmers Market Food Truck Rally on July 14, 2022 to be held in Veteran’s Park, 319 N. Lake
Street Boyne City, MI 49712.
C. Historical Commission Past Perfect Program Subscription
Approve the recommendation from the Boyne City Heritage Commission to purchase the
cloud based service, first year and set up fees, for use by the Boyne Heritage Center in an
amount of $2,090 with the understanding that one of the ten users will be the City of Boyne
City.

A. Boyne City Public Schools Discussion
Update from Superintendent Pat Little
B. Business Assistance Measures – Update
Consider the recommendation from City Manager Michael Cain to extend the authorization
to allow the City Manager to continue to take steps he deems necessary and prudent to
work with local businesses to help support their businesses thru December 2022 with a
follow-up review at the end of that period with the City Commission being apprised of any
major alteration to City rules, practices, or procedures.
C. Charlevoix County Parks Millage Applications
Consider the recommendation from Assistant Planner Patrick Kilkenny to approve
submitting a Charlevoix County Parks Millage application funding request in the amount of
$8,951.42 for the Rotary Park Pickleball Courts Fencing and Benches and, to approve
submitting a Charlevoix County Parks Millage application funding request in the amount of
$9,344.66 for the Veterans Park Pavilion Seating and, to approve submitting a Charlevoix
County Parks Millage application funding request in the amount of $6,268.92 for the
Veterans Park Pavilion Audio System, and adopt resolutions supporting the applications of
the projects as presented, and authorize the City Manager to execute any necessary
documents to secure the funds.
D. Aeration Blower Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Replacement
Consider the recommendation from the Water/Wastewater Superintendent Mark Fowler to
approve the proposal from Windemuller Electric to install the new VFD in the amount of
$7,775 and authorize the City Manager to execute any necessary documents.
E. Auditor Renewal Proposal
Consider the recommendation from City Clerk/Treasurer Jessica Puroll to approve a
contract with Gabridge & Co. to provide auditing services in the amount of $29,400 for two
years, plus if the City requires a Single Audit be performed, an additional fee of $3,000 per
year would be charged and authorize the City Manager and City Clerk/Treasurer to execute
any necessary documents.

11. ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Michigan Municipal League Newly Elected Officials Training will be held on January 19,
2022 at 5:30 p.m. at Boyne City City Hall in the Commission Chambers.
The next regular City Commission meeting is scheduled for January 25, 2022 at 12:00 p.m.
