B. Fall Tree Planting for City ROW Contract Recommendation - Revised
Consider the recommendation from Director of Public Works and Utilities Doug Varney to approve a
purchase order contract with Robinson’s Landscaping and Nursery for the 2024/2025 Tree Planting in
an amount not-to-exceed $21,280, and to authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary
documents.
9. NEW BUSINESS
A. 2025 Boating Season Rate Recommendations – F. Grant Moore Municipal Marina
Consider the recommendation from Executive Assistant Jennifer Eads and Harbor Master Ralph
Galbraith to approve a variance request to the Waterways Commission for Level 1 + 10% for seasonal
slips, and to approve a variance request to use Level D for early and late seasons, May 15th through
June 15th and September 3rd through October 15th for transient slips, and authorize City staff to execute
the necessary documents.
B. Clean Water State Revolving Fund #5890-01 (CWSRF) Contract 2 Award Recommendation
Consider the recommendation from City Manager Michael Cain to award a purchase order contract to
Grand Traverse Construction for $2,305,700 per the bid award recommendation for CWSRF Contract
2, issued from C2AE dated 6/26/2024 and to authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary
documents.
C. Fall Tree Trimming, Removal and Stump Grinding Contract Recommendation
Consider the recommendation from Director of Public Works and Utilities Doug Varney to approve a
purchase order contract with All Aspects Forestry for the 2024/2025 tree trimming, removal and
grinding work, including the Boice Street site clearing, in and amount not-to-exceed $42,000.00 and to
authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary documents.
D. Closed Session Request
1) Consider the request from City Manager Michael Cain to go into closed session for a periodic
personnel evaluation of a public officer as provided in MCL 15.268 (a) of the Michigan Open
Meetings Act (PA 267 of 1976).

• Boyne City Trick or Treat hours are from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
• The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. until
8:00 p.m.
• The next regular City Commission meeting is scheduled for November 12, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.
