Braintree Board of Health Meeting Held Via Zoom Thursday, September 17, 2020, 7:00 p.m. IN ATTENDANCE: Dr. Arthur Bregoli, Chairman Dr. Philip Nedelman, Vice Chairman ALSO PRESENT: Marybeth McGrath, Director of ML & I Dr. Bregoli called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. by roll call vote: Dr. Bregoli-yes; Dr. Nedelman-yes Approval of Meeting Minutes: August 13, 2020 Motion By: Dr. Nedelman to approve the meeting minutes of August 13, 2020. Second By: Dr. Bregoli Unanimously Voted by roll call: Dr. Nedelman-yes; Dr. Bregoli-yes List of Complaints: The Board reviewed a list of complaints received from August 10-September 14, 2020. New Business: Request for Variance of Well Setbacks – William Ranalli, 152 Richard Road William Ranalli was present before the Board via Zoom. Ms. McGrath stated an inspection has been done and Mr. Ranalli is requesting a variance from the setback to the roadway. He meets all other setbacks. He is only 60 feet from the roadway, where 100 feet is required. The inspector does not foresee any problems. All the direct abutters have been notified and signed that they received notification. She stated she has received no communication from the abutters regarding this. Motion By: Dr. Nedelman to approve the variance of well setbacks, 152 Richard Road Second By: Dr. Bregoli Unanimously Voted by roll call: Dr. Nedelman-yes; Dr. Bregoli-yes Braintree Board of Health, September 17, 2020 Page 2 of 2 Request for Approval of Body Art Practitioner Permit – Jessica DeSouza (Eye Brow Glam-SSP) Jessica DeSouza and Jennifer Alves, Owner, were present before the Board via Zoom. Ms. McGrath stated all the necessary requirements are included in the Board’s packet. The only outstanding documentation is either evidence that Ms. DeSouza has had a hepatitis-B vaccination or she has submitted a statement declining that vaccination. Ms. McGrath stated she has no concerns with the application. Ms. Alves stated Ms. DeSouza will be applying semi-permanent tattooing to enhance the appearance of the eyebrow. She stated everything is used once and they discard all the tools and pigments, which are all organic and FDA approved. She stated the procedure typically lasts up to three years. Motion By: Dr. Nedelman to approve the Body Art Practitioner Permit for Jessica DeSouza (Eye Brow Glam-SSP), contingent upon providing hepatitis-B vaccination documentation. Second By: Dr. Bregoli, Unanimously Voted by roll call: Dr. Nedelman-yes; Dr. Bregoli-yes Informational: Seasonal Flu Clinic, Sunday, October 4, 2020: Ms. McGrath stated the flu clinic will be held outdoors, meeting social distancing and face mask requirements. They have nurses scheduled and have invited late Board member Laurie Melchionda’s daughter, who is a nurse, to participate. Dr. Nedelman stated he will not be able to participate this year. Dr. Bregoli stated he will plan on attending. Ms. McGrath stated she continues to send the Board updates on COVID-19. Sadly Braintree has gone over the 1,000 case mark, with 1001 cases. Within the last four days they have had a total of 26 cases within the community.
