Elm St. Cemetery
Four responses were received to the Request for Qualifications and the review committee is working on
them. The response includes most items that were covered in the $75,000 that the committee
recommended for appropriation in March, but does not include project oversight. Members of the
committee suggested that it would be best if the negotiated price for this phase could leave money
available for that oversight and that a cost estimate previously received should be consulted.
Gallivan House
David Crispin has agreed to do the plan defining the doctor’s office which is needed for the restriction.
Norfolk County Hospital Land
A plan has been made to divide the land into land for recreational use and land for open space for
submittal to the council.
Union School (American Legion)
Contract has been awarded to CBI. The $70K recommendation has been submitted to the council.
Plaques
Plaques have been placed at a number of locations where projects have previously been funded with
several more left to be done. The committee discussed an appropriate location at Hollis School and
consensus was that we would prefer it near the old front door in the area of the old building where work
was done.
Next meeting
Discussion of next meeting date concluded that the committee would next meet October 24 if there is
business that so requires and otherwise on November 14.
