Councilor Boericke was in the Chair. Clerk of the Council, Susan Cimino conducted the roll call. Present: Meredith Boericke, Chairwoman Peter Morin, Vice-Chairman Julia Flaherty, Member Elizabeth Maglio, Member Not Present: Joseph Reynolds, Member Also Present: Kara Nyman, Chief of Staff Deborah Lindstedt, appointee Approval of Minutes • None Old Business • None March 4, 2025 Ways & Means Committee 1 of 2 New Business • 25 004 Mayor: Appointment – Tenant Board Member to the Braintree Housing Authority, Deborah Lindstedt or take up any action relative thereto My name is Deborah Lindstedt and I have been a resident of Marge Crispin senior housing since March 2016. I am interested in becoming a board member so I can be a voice for residents on what things get done at Roosevelt St and Heritage housing complexes. Thank you for your consideration. Chairwoman Boericke stated thank you for stepping up to serve; it means a lot. Councilor Maglio stated this is great you are joining a committee to see what you can do and lend your support and be a voice. Councilor Flaherty stated thank you for stepping up to this position. You have lived experience from living there. Councilor Morin stated I am your district councilor. Lauren Murphy does well for the residents. You are the eyes and ears for her to help solve problems. I hope you enjoy. Thanks for volunteering. Kara Nyman, Chief of Staff stated we received a strong recommendation from Lauren for Deborah Lindstedt and this appointment. Chairwoman Boericke asked Ms. Lindstedt if she likes living at Roosevelt. Ms. Lindstedt stated yes its quiet. I don’t see my neighbors much but I have some good friends we do things together like the senior center. Chairwoman Boericke stated we are delighted you are willing to serve. Motion read by Councilor Morin for favorable recommendation to the full Council: MOTION: Upon request of her Honor, Mayor Joyce, the Town of Braintree, through the Braintree Town Council and in accordance with Section 3-3 of the Town Charter, approve the appointment of Deborah Lindstedt as Tenant Board Member to the Braintree Housing Authority Motion: by Councilor Morin to approve Order 25 004 Second: by Councilor Maglio Roll Call Vote: For (4 – Boericke, Flaherty, Maglio, Morin), Against (0), Absent (1-Reynolds), Abstain (0) It was unanimously voted to adjourn the meeting at 7:12p.m. Respectfully submitted, Susan M.
