(X) Council Member Mary Vechery (X) Shelley Dorsey, Treasurer (X) Mayor Roció Treminio-López (X) Jason DeLoach, Town Attorney Call to order at 7:13 PM ____________________________ Motion to approve agenda made by CM Monroe. 2nd by CM Vechery-Goff. All in favor. General Public Comments  No public comments. Agenda Items - Presentation by, Lisa Dowling, Polco – “ARPA Citizen Engagement” - Online survey tool to engage residents on - Police Department - Contract was reviewed by town attorney and was recommended to put an RFP for bidding due to the contract with vendor being expired. - - Town Center Update - Waiting on Prince George County to approve the permit - Public Works - VM Leggin requests the installation of STOP sign on 34th Steet, northbound, at the intersection with Varnum Street to work with Mount Rainier to calm traffic in that intersection. Mayor Treminio- Lopez requests a resolution to establish history as to when and why the stop sign was added. Will be added to the next council meeting.  One Way-35th Alley, between Varnum & Upshur, (southbound) - Mayor would like TA to check with the residents in the area and the fire department. Also, to ensure all is documented. WORK SESSION OF THE M AYOR A ND T OWN C OUNCIL OF B RENTWOOD Date: Tuesday, September 7, 2021  Update installation of a gate for a paper ally (N Brentwood split the cost) - Est. Total Cost of $3k divided between the Towns  RFP’s-Sidewalk repair has been posted - The RFP is posted on the town’s website and on MML. Will be posted on eMaryland Marketplace website as soon as account has been fixed. - Deadline is Thursday, September 16, 2021  Update on a dead tree at 4510 37th Street, MD 20722 - The TA checked with LGIT to see if the tree falls it would be covered. The insurance company says no, we are not covered due to this tree being on private property. The insurance company recommended removing the tree before it falls on its own. - CM Taylor says that it’s best to just split the cost with the homeowner to ensure there is no future damage to any property or anyone. - The town will speak with the homeowner to come to an agreement on splitting the cost to cut the tree down. - The town will continue to review the tree canopy to ensure safety of residents. - Town attorney stated that the town should address any known dead trees as soon as possible. - CM Taylor recommended that the town replace dead trees with native trees that won’t grow so tall.  Supervisory Code Enforcement position - After reviews and second interviews the position will be revised and reposted.  Councilmember Reports WORK SESSION OF THE M AYOR A ND T OWN C OUNCIL OF B RENTWOOD Date: Tuesday, September 7, 2021 - VM Leggin stated that Garrett Bradford, Natalie Guerra, Tom Petrillo, Francesco De Salvatore (plus one forthcoming) are the new public works committee members.  Discuss a volunteer drive for Town Committees - CM Monroe suggested that a table be set up at the Pathway to Unity event on Saturday, September 18, 2021. - Mayor & Council will have a breakfast meeting to discuss ARP Funding on Saturday, September 18, 2021, 10am-12pm.
