CITY OF BRISTOL, TENNESSEE MINUTES OF THE BEER BOARD MEETING October 16, 2019 BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT CITY EMPLOYEES PRESENT Mr. Craig Kistner-Chairman Chief Blaine Wade Mr. Robert Greeson Captain Walter Brown Mr. Jason Booher Lt. Brad Tate Mr. Miles Vance City Attorney Smith Ms. Patty Hicks Call to order-At approximately 5:00 pm on October 16, 2019, Mr. Kistner, Chairman of the Beer Board for the City of Bristol, Tennessee, called the meeting to order in the conference room of the Ewell L. Easley Municipal Bldg., located at 104 8th St., Bristol Tennessee. Roll call was taken with Vice Chairman Ketron not being present at the meeting. Review of minutes-Board members reviewed minutes from September 11, 2019 meeting and the minutes were approved as read. NEW BUSINESS Manna Bagel, 634 State St., Bristol TN: Owner was not present. Lt. Brad Tate presented evidence of the sale to an underage person. The violation occurred on August 14 2019. The last violation for the business was on September 22, 2018. Permit holder has since sold business and surrendered her permit. With no further questions the board voted on the second violation. Mr. Booher made a motion for a 20 day suspension or a civil penalty of $2000.00. Mr. Greeson seconded the motion, Motion passed unanimously. Roll call was taken. The Angry Italian, 16 6th St., Bristol TN: Owner Mr. Yonker was present. Lt. Brad Tate presented evidence that, The Angry Italian employee Gail Yonker sold to an underage person on August 14, 2019. This is the first violation for this permit holder. Mr. Yonker advised he was aware of the violation. Mr. Greeson made a motion to give a suspension of 7 days or a civil penalty of $1500.00. Mr. Booher seconded the motion. Roll call was taken and motion passed. Captain Brown gave the violation paperwork to Mr. Yonker. OLD BUSINESS-None PENDING BUSINESS-None The board confirmed the next meeting date to be November 20, 2019. With no further business the meeting was adjourned at approximately 0534 pm.
