MINUTES OF THE BEER BOARD MEETING
September 9, 2020

Call to order-At approximately 5:00 pm on September 9, 2020, Mr. Kistner, Chairman of the Beer Board
for the City of Bristol, Tennessee, called the meeting to order in the conference room of the Ewell L.
Easley Municipal Bldg., located at 104 8th St., Bristol Tennessee. Roll call was taken.
Review of minutes-Board members reviewed minutes from July 22, 2020 meeting and the minutes were
approved as read.
NEW BUSINESS
Family Dollar: No one present to represent Family Dollar. The Family Dollar is located at 1404 Virginia
Ave. An application has been completed. All fees have been paid. Education is complete. Motion made
by Mr. Booher to table the application. Vice Chairman Ketron seconded the motion. Roll call was taken.
Motion passed unanimously.
The Last Lap: Brandon Rogers and George Rogers was present to represent The Last Lap. The Last Lap is
located at 2800 Highway 11E. Mr. Rogers is seeking a temporary Beer Permit renewal. The application is
complete, and all fees have been paid. Vice Chairman Ketron made a motion to pass. Mr. Greeson
seconded the motion. Roll call was taken. Motion passed unanimously.
Levy Premium Food Service: Mr. Oberdan Congello was present to represent Levy. The beer permit is
for Bristol Motor Speedway at 151 Speedway Blvd. Mr. Congello was present for a sale to under 21
compliance hearing. The violation occurred on July 15, 2020 at BMS. This is the first violation for this
permit holder. Detective Welch spoke about the violation. Motion was made to give a 10 day suspension
or pay a $1500.00 fine. Mr. Booher made a motion to pass. Mr. Greeson seconded the motion. Roll call
was taken. Motion passed unanimously.
CVS: Mr. Tayo Atanda, the attorney for CVS was present by Zoom to represent CVS. CVS is located at
3030 West State St. Mr. Atanda was present for a sale to under 21 compliance hearing. The violation
occurred on July 15, 2020. This is the first violation for this permit holder. Detective Welch spoke about
the violation. Vice Chairman Ketron made a motion for a 10 day suspension or pay a $1500.00 fine. Mr.
Greeson seconded the motion. Roll call was taken. Motion passed unanimously.
Weaver Market: Randy Radant was present to represent Weaver Market. Weaver Market is located at
2117B Weaver Pike. Mr. Radant was present for a sale to under 21 compliance hearing. The violation
occurred on July 15, 2020. This is the first violation for the permit holder. Detective Welch spoke about
the violation. Mr. Booher made a motion for a 10 day suspension or pay a $1500.00 fine. Vice Chairman
Ketron seconded the motion. Roll call was taken. Motion passed unanimously.

Discussion was conducted among members regarding a request from a local business to create an
ordinance for beer delivery within the city. The next Board Meeting will be held on October 21, 2020.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned at approximately 06:30 pm.
