CITY OF BRISTOL, TENNESSEE MINUTES OF THE BEER BOARD MEETING August 16, 2023 BOARD MEMBER PRESENT CITY EMPLOYEES PRESENT Mr. Clyde Downs-Vice Chairman Chief Matt Austin Mr. Robert Greeson Attorney Danielle Smith Mr. Michael Schmidt Sgt. Adam Dye City Manager Kelli Bourgeois Call to order-At approximately 5:02 pm on August 16, 2023, Mr. Downs, Vice-Chairman of the Beer Board for the City of Bristol, Tennessee, called the meeting to order in the conference room of the Ewell L. Easley Municipal Bldg., located at 104 8th St. Roll call was taken. Review of minutes-Board members reviewed the minutes from the June 21, 2023 meeting. The minutes were approved as read. NEW BUSINESS The Mountain: Jesse Griggs was present to represent The Mountain. The Mountain is seeking an on premises Beer Permit for 250 N Raceway Villa Dr. Vice-Chairman Downs made a motion to pass. Mr. Greeson seconded the motion. Roll call was taken. Motion passed unanimously. Last Lap LLC: Brandon Rogers was present to represent Last Lap LLC. Last Lap is seeking a renewal of a temporary off premises Beer Permit for 2800 Highway 11E. Vice-Chairman Downs made a motion to pass. Mr. Schmidt seconded the motion. Roll call was taken. Motion passed unanimously. Birthplace of Country Music: Baylor Hall was present to represent Birthplace of Country Music. Birthplace of Country Music is seeking a renewal of a temporary on premises Beer Permit for 810 State St and 17 5th St. Vice-Chairman Downs made a motion to pass. Mr. Greeson seconded the motion. Roll call was taken. Motion passed unanimously. Machiavelli’s: Justin Peters with Machiavelli’s was present to speak to the board about serving free samples of beer. The board and city attorney answered questions pertaining to this. The board chose not to vote on the matter. OLD BUSINESS None. PENDING BUSINESS The next Board Meeting will be held on September 20, 2023. With no further business the meeting was adjourned at approximately 5:13 pm.
