Minutes of the Bristol Tennessee City Council Work Session October 20,2015 The Bristol Tennessee City Council work session was called to order by Mayor Lea Powers on Tuesday, October 20,2015 at 12:00 p.m. in the conference room of the Easley Annex Building. Members of City Council present included Mayor Lea Powers, Vice Mayor Chad Keen, Councilwoman Michelle Denise, Councilwoman Margaret Feierabend, and Councilman Jack Young. In addition, Mayor Richard Venable, County Commissioner Eddie Williams, County Commissioner Cheryl Russel, County Commissioner Mark Vance, BTCS Board of Education Chairman Jim Butcher, BTCS Board of Education Vice Chairperson Jill Hanison, BTCS Board of Education Member David'Welch, BTCS Board of Education Member Nelson Pyle, and BTCS Board of Education Member Randy Frye were in attendance. City staff members present included City Manager Bill Sorah, City Attorney Jack Hyder, Corporation Counsel Danielle Kiser, Director of Administration Mary Lee V/illiams, Director of Public'Works Tim Beavers, and Information Technology Manager Greg Cross. In addition, Dr. Gary Lilly, Bristol Tennessee Director of Schools and Dr. Evelyn Rafalowski, Sullivan County Director of Schools, Dr. Annette Tudor, BTCS Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction, Rebecca Adams, BTCS Supervisor of Business and Finance, and Ed Depew, Supervisor of Facilities and Maintenance were in attendance. The agenda for the meeting included the following items for discussion, with no formal action being taken. 1. Presentation by Sullivan County Officials - School Funding 2.
