Minutes of the Bristol Tennessee City Council Called Meeting August 28, 2018 The Bristol Tennessee City Council meeting was called to order by Mayor Margaret Feierabend on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 5:34 p.m.in the conference room of the Easley Annex Building. Members of City Council present included Mayor Margaret Feierabend, Vice Mayor Michelle Denise, Councilman Chad Keen, Councilwoman Lea Powers and Councilman Jack Young. City staff members present included City Manager Bill Sorah, City Attorney Danielle Kiser, Director of Economic Development Tom Anderson, Interim Director of Community Development Tim Beavers, Director of Administration Mary L. Williams, Director of Parks and Recreation Terry Napier, Director of Community Relations Terrie Talbert, Transportation Engineer David Metzger, and IT Specialist Greg Cross. The purpose of the meeting was to consider acqms1hon of two additional properties for construction of the new middle school. The properties are 916 Oakland Drive in the amount of $81,700 and 819 Tremont Avenue in the amount of $126,500. Vice Mayor Denise made the motion to approve the acquisition and Councilwoman Powers seconded the motion. The motion passed with all voting affinnative.
