City Council Work Session
November 2612019
The Bristol Tennessee City Council work session was called to order by Mayor Margaret
Feierabend on Tuesday, November 26,2019 at ll:12 p.m. in the conference room of the Ewell
Easley Municipal Annex Building.
Members of City Council present included Mayor Margaret Feierabend, Vice Mayor Mahlon
Luttrell, Councilman Chad Keen, Councilwoman Lea Powers, and Councilman Vince Turner.
City staff members present included City Manager Bill Sorah, City Attorney Danielle Smith,
Director of Development Services Tim Beavers, Director of Economic Development Tom
Anderson, Director of Parks and Recreation Terry Napier, Director of Administration Mary Lee
V/illiams, Director of Community Relations Jon Luttrell, Police Chief Blaine Wade, and
Information Technology Specialist Greg Cross. In addition, Pat Hardy, MTAS Consultant, and
Jason Booher, Sullivan County Administrator of Elections, were in attendance.
The agenda for the meeting included the following items for discussion, with no formal action
being taken.
1. MTAS Discussion of Local Governance Questions
2. Presentation of 2020 Tri-Cities Joint Legislative Policy
3. Discussion of Employee Survey Process
4. Proposed 2020 City of Bristol Meeting Calendar
5. Discussion of Downtown Community Feedback on Parking Permits
In addition, there was considerable discussion of economic development policy and incentives.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:20 p.m
