Minutes of the Bristol Tennessee City Council Work Session December 17 ,2019 The Bristol Tennessee City Council work session was called to order by Mayor Margaret Feierabend on Tuesday, December 17,2019 at 1 1:03 p.m. in the conference room of the Ewell Easley Municipal Annex Building. Members of City Council present included Mayor Margaret Feierabend, Vice Mayor Mahlon Luttrell, Councilman Chad Keen, Councilwoman Lea Powers, and Councilman Vince Tumer. City staff members present included City Manager Bill Sorah, City Attorney Danielle Smith, Director of Development Services Tim Beavers, Director of Economic Development Tom Anderson, Director of Parks and Recreation Terry Napier, Director of Administration Mary Lee V/illiams, Director of Community Relations Jon Luttrell, Fire Chief Mike Canier, Planning Services Manager Cherith Young, and Information Technology Specialist Robert Lucas. The agenda for the meeting included the following items for discussion, with no formal action being taken. 1. Discussion of Volunteer Parkway Development Strategy 2. Discussion of Business District Design Standards 3. Discussion of Electronic Message Boards in Residential Districts 4. Proposed Revisions to Section 50-31 of the Code of Ordinances 5. Discussion of Potential Projects for Fiscal 2021Budget In addition, there was discussion of the refurbishing of the Country Music Mural located in the Downtown Center and potential funding formulas for non-profit organizations.
