Bristol Tennessee Parks & Recreation Advisory Board Meeting February 2, 2012 6:00pm Present: Susi Chandler Sherry Willinger Jim Goodwin Harriet Locke Bethany Russell Richard Heller Jerry Greene Chris Estep Absent: Anne Miscoski Becky Wilkerson Staff: Terry Napier Crystal Key Guest: Erin Patrick, Wildlife Biologist, USDA I. Invocation by Chris Estep. II. Approval of December 8, 2011 minutes – Jim made the motion to accept the minutes. Susie seconded the motion. Motion carried. III. Old Business A. Slater Building Improvements – This project will be going before City Council. These are much needed improvements. B. Lodge Improvements – The kitchen improvements are complete. An oven and freezer were added, and new cabinets were installed. C. Avoca/Fairview Improvements – New rafters and roofs are on the way to both fields. IV. New Business A. Raccoon study of SCP (Erin Patrick, Wildlife Biologist, USDA) – Erin gave a report of the findings from the raccoon study done in Steele Creek Park. B. SCP Report – Litter is a problem on Fox Ridge. The beavers are back. C. Earth Day/Arbor Day – April 20th at Anderson Elementary D. Park Clean Up – April 14th V. Next Meeting Date – Thursday, April 5, 2012 (Fieldtrip) VI.
