Bristol Tennessee Tree City USA Board Minutes August 20, 2012 Present: Mary Lou Sproles Karen McSharry Jean Lusardi Rebecca Smith Absent: Chris Chandler Staff: Jeremy Stout Crystal Key Terry Napier I. Call to Order – Meeting called to order by Karen McSherry at 5:10pm. II. Approval of June 18, 2012 minutes –Rebecca Smith made the motion to approve the minutes. Mary Lou Sproles seconded the motion. Motion carried. III. Old Business A. Whitetop Creek Park nature walk – Jeremy lead the group on a walk around the trail. IV. New Business A. Wildlife Weekend Wildlife Weekend (October 12 – 13) – 15th Annual Wildlife Weekend is a Friends of Steele Creek event. There will be lots of activities. B. Tree Keepers Program (March 2nd or 9th) – The group prefers the 9th. C. Arbor Day Celebration (date / school) – The 2013 Arbor Day Celebration will be at Haynesfield Elementary on April 26th. D. SCP Orchards – Hopeful project in an area of Steele Creek Park that is not currently being used. Plant about a dozen fruit trees per year. V. Staff Comments - None VI. Board Comments – None VII.
