SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING IN BRITT COUNCIL CHAMBERS ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27TH, 2023, AT 5:30 P.M. 170 MAIN AVE S BRITT, IA 50423 1) OPENING BUSINESS a. Call meeting to order. Minutes: The meeting was called to order by Mayor Arndorfer via phone call. b. Roll call. Minutes: Present were Stacy Swenson, Curt Gast, Karrie Wallen, Ashley Weiss, and Abby Post c. Pledge of Allegiance d. Conflict of Interest (state if applicable) e. Approval of Agenda Minutes: It was motioned by Swenson and second by Wallen to Approve the agenda. Motion carried unanimously. 2) SET PUBLIC HEARING FOR REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON 7TH ST NW AND MAIN AVE N (Brown & Tregenza lot 1 & N ½ lot 2 & N ½ lot 4 Exc Tract Blk 3) Minutes: It was motioned by Weiss and second Swenson to set the public hearing for rezoning of property located on 7th ST NW and Main Ave N for Tuesday, November 14th, 2023, at 7:00pm. Motion carried unanimously. 3) CLOSED SESSION IN ACCORDANCE WITH IOWA CODE 22.7 (7) BID OF EQUIPMENT Minutes: It was motioned by Swenson and seconded by Gast to go into closed session at 5:32pm. Motion carried unanimously. It was motioned by Gast and seconded by Weiss to come out of closed session at 5:38pm. Motion carried unanimously 4) COUNCIL DECISION ON BID Minutes: It was motioned by Swenson and seconded by Gast to approve the bid amount set by council during closed session for the Lake Mills Sweeper. Motion carried unanimously. 5) ADJOURN Minutes: It was motioned by Gast and seconded by Swenson to adjourn the meeting.
