ROLL CALL Rose Bottorff Present April Hedlund Present Elaine Jans Present Jason Kaumeyer Present Sue Rohner Present Steve Sabourin Present Katie Kaluzny, Trustee Liaison - Present Noah Rife, Staff Liaison - Present Guests: Rebecca MINUTES November 4, 2025 Minutes, No changes and approved unanimously. REPORTS Chair Report ● Commissioner Jans- Three Brookfield Shops to remain and three new ones coming at the end of January of 2026. The Vulgar Vegan, a tea shop and a soap store opening soon. Staff Update ●Noah Rife presented – Again, three new incubator businesses coming. He presented stats for social media with the Winner of the Holiday Decorations having 404 total votes and the best decoration winner having over 15000 views. Excellent community engagement through social media continues. He expressed the need to kick start the Mural Program that is budgeted, with no applicants. The school by the Water Tower will be receiving a small mural facing the park to garner interest. Trustee Liaison Report- • Trustee Kulzny- The budget for 2026 was passed. The improvements to the Shoppes courtyard are near complete with new pavers added and community art pieces installed. OLD BUSINESS 1. 2025 Holiday Décor Nominations- Commissioner Jans- Elaine presented some updates to the application to focus on front yards. Page 2 of 3 2. 2026 Landscaping Ideas- Commissioner Rohner asked fellow Commissioners on if they had any other sites in mind. She asked to vote on the 31st sign renovation as most of the team seemed excited about this at the last meeting. A motion was made and adopted to allow up to $3,000 of the budget toward new landscaping. Also a question came up if the Beautification Commission needed to plant and budget flowers at the Shoppes again. Noah Rife will check into it and get back her before the next meeting in March. 3. 2026 Project Nice- Commissioner Jans asked Noah to reserve the shelter. Noah mentioned trying to capture repeat volunteers and sending auto-reminders. NEW BUSINESS 1. 2026BrookieAwards PUBLIC COMMENT ● Rebecca says we are excited to partner with you again this upcoming year for Project Nice. ADJOURNMENT Meeting was adjourned at 7:39 pm.
