Ertl, A.I.C.P., Director 2000 North Calhoun Road Brookfield, Wisconsin 53005-5095 262-796-6695 FAX 262-796-6702 NOTICE OF NEIGHBORHOOD INFORMATION MEETING The Corridor –Life Time Athletics As a neighbor* of Irgens “The Corridor” development, you are hereby invited by the City of Brookfield to a Public Information Meeting to be held on: Tuesday, February 27, 2018 - 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Swanson School Cafeteria 305 N. Calhoun Road - Brookfield, WI Life Time Athletics, Chanhassen, MN, has proposed to construct a full service fitness, wellness and recreation center on a site located in the Irgens Corridor project, a mixed use development on lands located north of Interstate 94 adjacent to the Brookfield Lakes Corporate Center. Life Time would construct a two- story approximate 125,000 square foot building with two outdoor pools with deck and bistro, child care center play area, adult outdoor recreation area and approximately 600 parking spaces. The proposal would require certain amendments to City Ordinance 2393-14 and 2423-15 which established the base zoning for The Corridor. More specifically, amendments thereto would refine permitted uses for Lot 4 Southwest- the “office site” – located south of Golf Parkway, west of Discovery Drive - the site closest to Brookfield Lakes Corporate Center- to (i) permit a fitness center and ancillary uses, (ii) permit the installation of certain fences and a temporary structure, (iii) vary parking supply, (iv) increase the amount of signage for Lot 4 Southwest , (v) permit a zero foot parking offset between Lot 4 SW and Lot 4SE; and, (vi) clarify the remaining permissible building area on Lot 4 Southeast located west of the Ruby buildings. No changes to the permissible maximum building height, minimum building setbacks or overall floor area ratio (F.A.R.), i.e. gross building area yield for The Corridor are proposed or are part of this proposed amendment. The meeting is an open house. No presentation will be made. Representatives from Life Time and Irgens will be present to answer questions about the project. City staff will answer questions regarding the amendment processes. My office will represent the City of Brookfield and collect written comments for the Common Council and Plan Commission. A public hearing regarding this matter is scheduled for Tuesday, March 20th, 2018. A separate public hearing notice will be mailed. If you have any questions, please contact: Daniel F.
