NOTICE OF NEIGHBORHOOD INFORMATION MEETING
Bishop’s Woods Neighborhood Plan
As a neighbor1 of the proposed Bishop’s Woods Neighborhood Plan; generally bounded by Bluemound
Road to the north, Elm Grove Road to the east, I-94 to the south, and Sunny Slope Road to the west; you
are hereby invited by the City of Brookfield to a Neighborhood Information Meeting to be held on:
Monday, October 29, 2018 - 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M.

The City of Brookfield Community Development Department is requesting approval to: amend the
2035 Comprehensive Plan through adoption of the Bishop’s Woods Neighborhood Plan, amend the
Municipal Code by creating a new mixed use zoning district for Bishop’s Woods titled “Office and
Limited Residential/Commercial/Light Industrial District” (“O&L R/C/LI”), rezone properties depicted
in attached “Exhibit A” from Office and Limited Industry (“O&LI”) and Planned Development District
#5 - Commercial (PDD #5 - Commercial) to the new Office and Limited Residential/Commercial/Light
Industrial District (“O&L R/C/LI”), and amend the land use designation of the properties subject to
rezoning from Employment Focused – Higher Density to Mixed Use as depicted in Map 1 of the 2035
Comprehensive Plan. The meeting is an open house. No presentation will be made. Community
Development Department staff will answer questions relative to maps, exhibits, the “Office and
Limited Residential/Commercial/Light Industrial District” and will collect written comments to
accompany presentation of the plan to the City’s Plan Commission and Common Council.
A public hearing regarding this matter is scheduled for January 15, 2019. A separate public hearing notice
will be mailed.

1A “neighbor” is any property owner within three hundred (300) feet of any part of the land included in the proposed plan change, i.e. the
public hearing notification limits established in Section 17.08.070 of the municipal code.
It is possible that members of and possibly a quorum of members of governmental bodies of the municipality may be in attendance at the
above-stated meeting to gather information; no action will be taken by any governmental body at the above-stated meeting.
