Common Council Chambers – City Hall 2000 N. Calhoun Road - Brookfield, WI St. Dominic Catholic Parish is requesting approval of a conditional use ordinance permitting construction of columbaria at 18255 West Capitol Drive. Columbaria are structures for housing cremated remains in memorial niches. The site is zoned “R-3” Single-family Residence District with “MSO-RC” Modified Suburban Overlay – Residential Cluster as well as conditional use ordinances number 369, 1657, 2050-06 and 2225-10. Cemeteries, crematories or mausoleums are regulated as conditional uses by the city zoning code, permissible in any zoning district subject to a public hearing and upon approval of an ordinance by the Common Council. The meeting is an open house. No presentation will be made. Representatives of St. Dominic Catholic Parish will be present to answer questions about the project. City staff will answer questions regarding the conditional use process. My office will represent the City of Brookfield and collect written comments for the Common Council and Plan Commission. A public hearing regarding this matter is scheduled for October 14, 2019. A separate public hearing notice will be mailed. If you have any questions, please contact: Daniel F. It is possible that members of and possibly a quorum of members of governmental bodies of the municipality may be in attendance at the above-stated meeting to gather information; no action will be taken by any governmental body at the above-stated meeting.
