CITIZENS COULD SUBMIT ANY COMMENTARY TO CITY HALL EMAIL: CITYHALL@CI.BROOKFIELD.WI.US As a neighbor1 of the proposed Westmoor Country Club Driving Range Netting project, you are hereby invited by the City of Brookfield to a Neighborhood Information Meeting to be held on: March 16, 2022- 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Common Council Chambers – City Hall 2000 N. Calhoun Road - Brookfield, WI Westmoor Country Club is requesting the installation of sports netting on the driving range for the safety of adjacent properties. The City is facilitating the meeting as an opportunity for neighbors of the project to obtain information, ask questions, and provide feedback to the applicant, City staff, and the District Alders. The meeting is an open house. No presentation will be made. Representatives of Westmoor Country Club will be present to answer questions about the project with illustrations depicting the proposal. City staff will answer questions regarding the City review and approval process. My office will represent the City of Brookfield and collect written comments. No action will take place at the meeting, only the sharing of information. The proposal does not require a public hearing, therefore, no further publication or notice will be given. This notice and neighborhood information meeting represent the extent of official public outreach from the City regarding the matter. If you have any questions, please contact: Richard VanDerWal, Associate Planner 262-787-3583 1A “neighbor” is any property owner within three hundred (300) feet of the proposal, i.e. the notification limits established in Section 17.08.070 of the municipal code were used as a basis for project notification, however, no notice is required per code because the project does not necessitate a public hearing. It is possible that members of and possibly a quorum of members of governmental bodies of the municipality may be in attendance at the above-stated meeting to gather information; no action will be taken by any governmental body at the above-stated meeting.
