BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS Minutes Brownsburg Town Hall 61 North Green Street Brownsburg, Indiana 46112 Monday, July 11, 2022 The Brownsburg Board of Zoning Appeals convened at 6:00 PM with a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance. A roll call was taken; where upon determination of quorum was found. Members Present: Maria Andrews, Brett Scowden and Marlon Webb Members Absent: Jeff Humphreys and Stacey Risk Also Present: Jodi Dickey, AICP- Director of Development Services A. CALL TO ORDER AND DETERMINATION OF QUORUM B. MOMENT OF SILENCE & PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE C. CONSIDERATION OF PREVIOUS MEETING{S) MINUTES 1. May 9, 2022- Regular Meeting Motion: Maria Andrews made a motion to APPROVE the May 9, 2022 regular meeting minutes, seconded by Brett Scowden, motion carried 3 In Favor/0 Opposed/0 Abstained. D. APPROVAL OF FINDINGS OF FACT 1. BZSE-22-2 Shelby Materials "Materials Recycling" Motion: Brett Scowden made a motion to APPROVE the Findings of Fact for BZSE-22-2, seconded by Maria Andrews, motion carried 3 In Favor/0 Opposed/0 Abstained. E. HEARING OF REQUESTS FOR CONTINUANCES 1. *BZSE-22-3 421 E. Main St. "Automotive Oriented Business, Type 1" A request for a Special Exception Use approval from Art. 5 § 5.81 SE-01 Special Exception Standards as it applies to Art. 2 § 2.27 to permit an "Automotive Oriented Business, Type 1" use within the Urban Commercial (UC) District. Parcel No(s): 32-07-11-420-007.000-016 Represented by: Bill Swanson, Innovative Engineering ADVERTISED PUBLIC HEARING 2. *BZDV-22-5 421 E. Main St. Maximum Primary Structures A request for a Development Standards Variance from Article 5, § 5.31 "Height Standards," as it applies to Art. 2 § 2.28, to exceed the maximum primary structures permitted within the Urban Commercial (UC) District. Jodi Dickey said the applicant had requested a continuance to the August 8, 2022 meeting. Motion: Brett Scowden made a motion to CONTINUE BZSE-22-3 and BZDV-22-5, seconded by Maria Andrews, motion carried 3 In Favor/0 Opposed/0 Abstained. None F. COMMUNICATIONS & REPORTS 1. Report From Director Of Development Services Jodi Dickey said they were updating the UDO and the Steering Committee was currently meeting. They were the in the process of getting individuals for Stakeholders meetings which will include various Board and Commission members. G. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS 1. None H.
