ACTION ITEMS
11. Consideration, Action, and Discussion regarding allocation of funds towards BBC Mini Grant Program.
(TABLED)
12. Consideration, Action, and Discussion to allocate no more than $40,000 to Public Works for the
maintenance of existing projects.
13. Consideration, Action, and Discussion to allocate no more than $5,000 to SSP Design for an assessment of
conditions and equity of completed BBC projects, pending quote. Assessment must include annual cost of
the sites, estimated annual maintenance cost, and time/personnel commitment to these projects. Quote goes
to Chair of BBC.
14. Consideration, Action, and Discussion to allocate a yearly amount of $3,000 to Brownsville Museum of
Fine Art (BMFA) to develop a partnership in creating, maintaining, and managing an “artists-in-residence”
program, resulting in a list of artists approved by the BBC and designated point person at BMFA (minimum
200 hours).
15. Consideration, Action, and Discussion to allocate no more than $5,000 every Fall/Spring school semester
with option to extend into Summer Semester, towards a BBC intern position of 20 hours per week,
supervised by the City Liaison with monthly report out to BBC Chair.
