AGENDA ADOPTION The Board approves the agenda at the start of the meeting, including modifications. VI. CONSENT AGENDA Approval of matters that are routine in nature that require review and/or approval, i.e., minutes and reports. Comments made in the Zoom Chatbox will not be discussed or included in the minutes. VIII. BUSINESS ITEMS – Guest Presentations A. RESTORE Grant for Riverside Wildfire Mitigation North of Buena Vista Cindy Williams will provide an update on the Riverside Project and propose a cash match from the Town in the 2022 Budget. (Estimated time – 10 minutes) B. Water Master Plan Wright Water Engineers will review the Water Master Plan with the Board. (Estimated time – 20 minutes) IX. STAFF REPORTS 1. Town Administrator 2. Town Treasurer 3. Police Chief 4. Recreation Director 5. Fire Chief X. BUSINESS ITEMS C. Update Policy on Independence Day Special Events The Board will consider approving an updated policy limiting extra Special Events during Independence Day. (Estimated time – 5 minutes) D. Public Input Campaign – Town-owned Land Focused on Carbonate Street Lots Joseph Teipel will provide a Project update and give the Board a preview of what is coming at the next meeting. (Estimated time – 5 minutes) E. Amend the 2021 Fee Schedule – Short-Term Rentals Fee Adoption of Resolution No. 41, Series 2021, entitled, “A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2021 TOWN OF BUENA VISTA FEE SCHEDULE TO ADJUST FEES FOR SHORT TERM RENTAL LICENSES.”? The Board will consider approving Short-Term Rental renewal and new licensing fees for 2022. (Estimated time – 5 minutes) F. Extend the Short-Term Rental Moratorium Adoption of Ordinance No.16, Series 2021, “AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE EXTENDING A TEMPORARY MORATORIUM ON THE ACCEPTANCE, PROCESSING AND APPROVAL OF ANY APPLICATION FOR SHORT-TERM RENTAL LICENSES WITHIN THE TOWN.”? The Board will consider extending the temporary moratorium for accepting short-term rental applications to comply with Ordinance No. 15 adopted September 28, 2021. (Estimated time – 5 minutes) G. Public Hearing – 2021 Budget Presentation Town Treasurer Michelle Stoke will present the 2022 preliminary budget to the Board and set the dates for budget public hearings. (Estimated time – 15 minutes) H. Colorado Opioid Settlement The Board will consider approving the Colorado Opioids Settlement Memorandum of Understanding. (Estiimated time – 5 minutes) XI. TRUSTEE/STAFF INTERACTION The Board discusses items with staff, and staff can bring up matters, not on the agenda.
