AGENDA BUENA VISTA TRAILS ADVISORY BOARD February 1, 2022 Virtual Meeting 5:30 pm Present: Kelly Collins (Chair), Lois Walton, Pat McCarthy, Colleen Fitzgerald, Earl Richmond (Recreation Special Projects Manager), Mark Doering (Principal Planner), Shawn Williams {Public Works Director) I. Call to order 5:37pm II. Agenda adoption or changes No changes Pat McCarthy motioned to approve, second by Lois Walton, Motion passed Ill. Approval of August 3 and October 5, 2021 meeting minutes August 3, 2021 minutes- Pat McCarthy motioned to approve. Second by Lois Walton. Motion passed. October 5, 2021 minutes - Pat McCarthy motioned to approve. Second by Lois Walton. Motion passed. IV. Public Comment No public comment V. Reports • Recreation {Earl Richmond) - Earl updated the board on the status of the LWCF {Land Water Conservation Fund) grant. If received funds will provide completion of the Walton Loop, single track around the loop and development of pickle ball courts. Kelly and Earl provided a presentation in January regarding Town needs. The Town will be notified in May of status. Earl provided an update on the CPW {Colorado Parks and Wildlife) Grant. If received the grant will provide Whipple Bridge replacement, trail maintenance, and work on social trails to reconfigure new trails. Town will be notified in March. Earl provided an update on the Rodeo Grounds Master Plan. NES is the consultant hired to develop the plan. Kelly and Earl met with the consultants on behalf of TAB in the fall. The consultants provided a virtual and interactive presentation in January to the community. Attached is a link to the concept plan proposed. https://my­ bv.com/rodeo-grounds Lois Walton asked what the general feel of the plan was by the BOT. Mark Doering said that the BOT have not reviewed the plan yet and are waiting on the Master Plan to be completed. They will then take it up. Earl also provided a look at a new promotional piece being created to recruit Recreation Advisory and Trail Advisory Board members. 1
