Burlington Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting Meeting Minutes, March 3, 2015 In attendance: Maria Pickering, Heidi Yeoman, Jane Sneeringer, Maria Magana and Maggie Buckholz. Excused: Jerry Mollerstuen Jane motioned to approve February's minutes. Maria Magana seconded. Motion passed. Library Director Communications: • Door count is up 12% in February over last year. It was up 10% in January over last year. • Wifi access has been a problem in the library, especially in the meeting rooms. City IT Dept is working on a resolution. • The Building and Grounds Dept. installed a new thermostat in the staff room. This has dramatically improved the heat/cooling for the entire staff workarea. • The story trail project is moving right along. Possibly end of May for completion. Incident Reports • There was a complaint about parking around the library. When the meeting rooms are being used the parking fills up very fast. Maggie will be working with the Public Works Dept., Building and Grounds, Parks, and City Admin. for solutions to improve parking access. Unfinished Business • Heidi motioned to approve the bills. Jane seconded. Motion passed. • Heidi motioned to approve the weeds and discards. Maria Magana seconded. Motion passed • Library Director Search. The Board reviewed the draft of the job posting and qualifying questions. • Strategic Planning. Next steps discussion will be at the April meeting. Adjourned at 6:56pm Submitted by Heidi Yeoman
