Burlington Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting Meeting Minutes for September, 1, 2015 In attendance: Jane Sneeringer, Maria Pickering, Maria Magana, Heidi Yeoman and Sarah Ward. Call to order at 6:04pm Heidi motioned to approve the August meeting minutes. Jane seconded. Motion passed. Directors Report: -Financial Report is right where we should be. -Summer reading program ended well. The Mayor attended the end of Summer Reading program event as well as about 43 kids who were involved in the program. -Sculpture donation. Heidi motioned to approve the monetary donation to purchase the Milo White sculpture. Maria Magana seconded. Motion passed. - Incident report: none to report. - Jane motioned to approve the bills. Maria M seconded. Motion passed. - Maria M motioned to approve the weeds and discards. Jane seconded. Motion passed. Unfinished Business -Strategic planning update: the board will hold a metting on September 17th at 6pm to discuss the strategic plan. New Business - Jerry Mullerstuen has announced to Sarah that he will be resigning from the board due to difficulties with work schedule and getting to attend meetings on a regular basis. - 2016 Budget review. - We received a memo from Skagit Valley College asking for a discussion on entering into a reciprocal borrowing agreement with the local public libraries. - Foundation Fundraiser Date will be determined Funds raised will be for a 3 D printer Looking at having Ivan Owen as speaker. -Wireless printing is in progress.. Adjourned at 7:20pm Submitted by Heidi Yeoman
