Burlington Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting Meeting Minutes November 3rd, 2015 In attendance: Maria Pickering, Heidi Yeoman, Sarah Ward and Jane Sneeringer Call to order at 6:04pm Heidi motioned to approve the October meeting minutes with the addition of Sarah Ward in attendance. Maria Pickering seconded. Motion approved. Communications: 1. Directors November monthly report: - 2015 Financial report Sarah is meeting with Crystal in the city finance dept to make sure we are on target. 2. Incidents - There was a fight in the men's restroom. Police were called and they were familiar with the man. - There was a needle with substance in it outside at the curb. Police were called. Unfinished Business 1. Heidi motioned to approve the bills. Jane seconded. Motion passed. 2. Jane motioned to approve the weeds and discards. Heidi seconded. Motion passed. 3. Draft 2016 budget review. Budget workshops were positive. New Business 1. County is giving the library $10,000 to be used for the interlocal agreement to bring library services to citizens. 2. Jane motioned to approve the Central Skagit Interlocal agreement pending the Legal Dept review. Heidi seconded. Motion passed. 4. Names of potential new board members discussed. 5. Skagit Reads had over 300 people attend the movie at the Lincoln theater. 6. School Partnership - Sarah attended Citizens Day - partnership is going well. -School is interested in a Currier system between school and library sharing books and materials.
