Burlington Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting December, 2020 Meeting minutes In attendance via telephone: Sarah Ward, Cindy Lint, Maria Magana, Carol Doyle, Janice Burwash Approval of minutes from the November meeting: Cindy moved, Carol seconded, motion passed. Communications: ● Jennifer hosted a virtual storytime for 24 B-ESD Kindergarten students. She was also a presenter at a virtual session of United Way and Welcome Baby’s Parent Cafe, where she spoke to about 15 parents and professionals about the services BPL currently offers for families. ● Jenny hosted BurilngTEEN book club attended by ten students and one teacher. “Spooky” books were discussed in honor of Friday the 13th. ● There is continued high use of Grab and Go, and high Facebook engagement. ● Financials: Budget is nearly spent down. Some line-items are overspent, but overall budget is balanced. Unfinished Business: ● Weeds and discards: Carol moved, Maria seconded, motion passed ● Approval of bills for October and November: Cindy moved, Carol seconded; motion passed. New Business: ● Approval of 2021 holidays: Maria moved, Carol seconded; motion passed ● 2021 Budget was approved at the last council meeting. Sarah will continue as Parks and Rec interim director.
