Burlington Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting September 5, 2023 Meeting Minutes In attendance: Sarah Ward, Maria Magana, Cindy Lint, Lettie Lance, Maria Yazzolino Absent: Jenny Cole, Carol Doyle Approval of minutes for July meeting: Cindy. moved, Lettie seconded, motion passed. Communications:  Successful Summer Reading program came to an end in August.  Sarah met with the new BESD superintendent.  Financials – on track and routine. Travel expense is an accounting error that will be resolved. Old Business/Monthly Tasks/Updates:  Approval of bills: Maria Y moved, Cindy seconded, motion passed.  No incident reports.  No real discussion of weeds and discards. New Business:  New outreach employee, Maria, hired part time at the library and part time with the City of Burlington.  New library assistant, Anya, hired.  New tables for the community meeting room have arrived.  Lights in the library have been replaced due to an electrical issue.  Board training session in August was a huge success with another one happening on 9/16.  Inter County library system being discussed – needs assessment with the likelihood of passing a vote and timeline for implementation.
