Burlington Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting April 9, 2024 Meeting Minutes In attendance: Maria Magana, Cindy Lint, Lettie Lance, Carol Doyle, Maria Yazzolino, Jenny Cole Approval of minutes for March meeting: Carol moved. Lettie seconded; motion passed. Communications: • Youth services had a drive-in movie event, the library added “Tonieboxes” and they were all checked out within the first day, Prime Time reading session completed with 19 families, New round of ATTIC volunteers settling in, and a new partnership with Skagit Coding and Robotics club. The library will be hosting the monthly coding event at their Burlington site. • Financials are on track. Operating supplies over by $1600 but offset by grants. Small tool and equipment budget spent on new equipment. • One Incident report, but it was a non-event. Old Business/Monthly Tasks/Updates: • Approval of bills: Maria M moved. Maria Y seconded; motion passed. • No real discussion of weeds and discards. New Business: • 2023 Annual report shows a huge increase in public events and outreach programs. • Dr. Jesus Perez-Linares filled the Ward 6 council position with a unanimous vote by council.
