Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. To : Calistoga Planning Commission Re : PG&E/Energy Vault proposal The Calistoga Green Committee would like to express appreciation for the several opportunities to meet with Energy Vault personnel, and thanks City staff for the detailed staff report and accompanying documents related to the proposed Energy Vault project. Having taken full advantage of these resources, the Green Committee would like to express support for the project to replace the current diesel generator with the proposed hydrogen fuel cell system. Obviously our primary charge is the environment and what Calistoga can do reduce, and eventually eliminate its contribution to climate change. Nonetheless, we recognize there are other important questions relating to practicality, safety, and compliance with regulatory and code requirements. What we have learned from Energy Vault representatives as well as from City staff documents and our own online research, lead to a clear preference for this solution, not even considering the added benefit that coverage would expand to include the entire City, thus eliminating most or all of the polluting, noisy, large and small home generators and their associated risks. Thank you for the opportunity to express our support for this project. Antoinette Mailliard, chair Calistoga Green Committee Page 4 of 3
