2. PUBLIC COMMENTS ON MATTERS NOT ON THE AGENDA
No comments were received.
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Draft Minutes from May 9, 2023, were approved unanimously as amended.
5. NEW BUSINESS
Chair Mailliard seeks approval to speak on behalf of the Committee in support of the
Energy Vault. Committee members approve Chair Mailliard to write a letter to the City
Council in support of the microgrid.
6. OLD BUSINESS
A. 23/24 Budget- Proposed Projects
1. Foodware Ordinance Implementation Update
Chair Maillard and Committee Member Pease would like to speak to City
Council to ask permission to rent the Community Center without charge.
A motion by Chair Mailliard to speak to the Council during the next public meeting is
seconded by Vice Chair Gleazer and unanimously approved.
Committee member Pease requests that a City Staff member be present at the
implementation workshops in July. She plans on sending invitations for the
workshop at the beginning of the month of July. Discussion ensues about how the
ordinance will be enforced.
2. Downtown Bicycle Parking Project
Staff member Clark advises that a more detailed budget be determined in
order to present the idea to City Council. Discussion ensues about how detailed the
budget should be.
3. Elementary School Project
Chair Mailliard speaks on committee member Franquelin’s absence to
provide an update on the project. Committee member Franquelin is seeking local
support for transportation since the school no longer has school buses available. Her
plan is to speak to the school to request funds for transportation for the project. If the

school has no available funds for transportation, a request could be made to service
groups. Discussion ensues about the project and how it educates students about
climate change.
B. Update on Green Committee Vacancy
Staff member Clark announces there has been no action on the Green
Committee vacancy. She will seek an update from the City Clerk and City Manager.
7. COMMITTEE MEMBERS’ IDEAS & REQUESTS FOR FUTURE DISCUSSION
Committee member Pease has sold all but four of the cups, but they aren’t
selling enough to place another order.
Vice Chair Gleazer requests to gather ideas for the future use of the Fairgrounds. For
example, removing the golf course and turning it into a park. Staff member Clark
suggests looking back through the CAP matrix to see where that action would fit within
the Green Committee’s scope. Chair Mailliard suggests joining with groups that are
already in place that are coming up with ideas for the future of the Fairgrounds.
8. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 4:30 PM.
