LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING MINUTES - FINAL Tuesday, March 22, 2016, 7:00 PM 625 NE 4th Avenue SPECIAL MEETING I. CALL TO ORDER II. ROLL CALL Present: Chair Carolee Dewars, Vice Chair Julie Anne Hill, Secretary Laura Felter, Jennifer Colbert and Shawn High Also present was City Council Liaison Bonnie Carter. Attending the public meeting at 8:00 were Interim Director Linda Swenton and City Administrator Pete Capell. III. AGENDA ITEMS Chair Carolee Dewars called the meeting to order at 7:05 and immediately moved the meeting to an Executive Session. Linda was invited to speak at this session for a few minutes and then she returned later for the public meeting. EXECUTIVE SESSION - 7:00 - 8:00 pm: closed to the public A. PERMANENT LIBRARY DIRECTOR REPLACEMENT DISCUSSION IV. PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS SPECIAL MEETING - 8:00-8:30 pm: open to the public A. PERMANENT LIBRARY DIRECTOR REPLACEMENT RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Camas Library Board of Trustees will vote on their recommendation for the library director replacement. Chair Carolee Dewars adjourned the Executive Session at 8:05 and opened the meeting to the public. She thanked Linda for coming and announced that in the best interest of the library, the Trustees are recommending to continue on the path to start the nationwide search for a new director. The Personnel committee distributed the draft of the job description and posting for the director position that the board will review and finalize at the April 12 meeting. V.
