City Council Proceedings, Special Meeting The Canistota City Council met in Special Session on Friday, April 12 at 7 AM in the Community Room of City Hall. Those present included: Mayor Justin Lee Engbarth, Lori Forsman, Jamie Miller and Jessica Kerher, Donovan O’Donnell was absent; also present, Finance Officer Kathy Townsend Mayor Engbarth called the meeting to order at 7 AM Miller motioned, second by Kerher to approve the agenda as presented, all voted yes, the motion carried. The City Council canvassed the votes from the April 9, 2024 Ward II election and certified that the foregoing is a true abstract of the votes cast in the jurisdiction of Canistota City at the election as shown by the returns certified to the Finance Officer by the Election Board: Ward II Brad Jensen, 19 votes Matt Anderson, 42 votes A motion by Miller, seconded by Forsman, the Canistota City Council verified the election returns submitted by the City Election Board were true and correct as submitted, all voted yes, the motion carried. At 7:09 AM, a motion to adjourn was made Forsman, second by Miller, all voted yes, the motion carried. The next regular meeting of the Canistota City Council will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 6 PM in the Community Room of City Hall. All are welcome to attend.
