If everyone could please turn your cell phones to vibrate. With a quorum being present, the Chair calls this meeting of Canton City Council to order. Roll call please, Madam Clerk. ROLL CALL TAKEN BY CLERK WOOD: 10 COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: (WILLIAM SMUCKLER, JAMES BABCOCK, GREG HAWK, BRENDA KIMBROUGH, CHRIS SMITH, ROBERT FISHER, KEVIN HALL, JOHN MARIOL, PETER FERGUSON & FRANK MORRIS) TEN COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT. The regular meeting of Canton City Council was held on April 10, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. in the Canton City Council Chamber. The roll call was taken (see above) by Clerk of Council, Jill M. Wood. The invocation was given by Ward 5 Council Member, Robert Fisher. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by President Sherer. PRESIDENT SHERER: Thank you, Member Fisher. Our next meeting date will be Monday, April 17th and Committee starts at 6:30 PM. MEMBER HAWK: Mr. President. PRESIDENT SHERER: Member Hawk. MEMBER HAWK: Finance Committee will meet Monday, April 17th at 6:30 PM in Council Chambers. PRESIDENT SHERER: Thank you, Member Hawk. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS PRESIDENT SHERER: We are now under Miscellaneous Business. Is there any Miscellaneous Business for this evening? MEMBER FERGUSON: Mr. President. PRESIDENT SHERER: Member Ferguson. MEMBER FERGUSON: I just want to say I… I went down to the emergency room to see… to see about Jason. He had a pretty big gash on his head. He got hurt yesterday. Uh, he was in the emergency room about four and a half hours. They did sew him up. Uh, he is at home, but he’s got a bad headache. Uh, outside of that, he’s doing fine. PRESIDENT SHERER: Thank you, and Member Ferguson, I did talk to Member Scaglione on the way down. Um, I think he’ll be fine. He had a little accident with a pry bar, but… so… the pry bar won the battle, so… but I think he’ll… I think he’ll be fine. But thank you, Member… MEMBER SMITH: Mr. President. PRESIDENT SHERER: Member Smith. MEMBER SMITH: I would like to thank all of the… uh, Council Members… um, Babby… uh, Smuckler, the Mayor. Who else was… that came out on Saturday and helped with the… uh, Easter Egg Hunt. I really appreciate it, and the kids did too. Thank you. PRESIDENT SHERER: Thank you, Member Smith.
