PUBLIC SPEAKS: Kimberly Bell asked Council to support the School District at board meetings. Stephanie
Ferrell, Chamone Russell and Justin Nicely all spoke about past issues with CPS. Larinda Johnson and
Cassandra White spoke about what they observed at last weeks council meeting. Bella Fornash spoke about the
death of her brother, Zachary Fornash. Skylark Bruce gave her opinion about how Council needs to take more
responsibility. Mark Broulis asked the city to add more speed tables.

CITY ANNOUNCEMNETS:
Mayor Sherer let everyone know about the Memorial Day Parade this upcoming Monday starting at 10 am, on
Mckinley Ave. He also announced the Shiloh Baptist Church 100-year anniversary this Sunday. He spoke about
Habitat for Humanity 's Summer Kick-off at the Southeast playground on May 30th starting at 5 pm and a 5k
walk in the Southeast starting at 8 am. There will also be a worship gathering on Sunday, June 1st at 11 am.
Member Chris Smith let everyone know that the Spray Park will be opening on Memorial Day.
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: Member Cooks gave a shout-out to Ms. Ferrell and Ms. Russell and asked
them to attend county meetings for their concerns. Member Giavasis asked if there was a possibility in
contacting Plain Township about an Annexation we're bringing into the City. He apologized if his taking notes
during the meeting comes off as disrespectful, but says he writes down the public speakers concerns and offered
to show them to anyone who would like to see them. Member Cooks asked Council to collaborate with other
Councils in the area to help the School Districts. President Bates Alyward informed Member Cooks that she and
Member Mariol have plans on reaching out to Councils in our County. Member Mariol said how important it is
for our Representatives in the area to come out and support the School District as well. Member Morris agreed
and suggested that Council invite our Representatives to attend some of the School Board meetings. Mayor
Sherer let Council know that he will reach out to Representatives in the area sometime this week.
