OLD BUSINESS: Mike Jones-Planning Board • No new update, ongoing continued projects. Councilmember Bodnar- City Council • Land swap for Police Station approved and moving forward with plans. • Lafayette Street Park native planting request passed along to site planners. Paul Dietrich – City Manager • First phase of Lafayette Street Park construction will begin this summer. • Additional beach mats will be added to the beach and should be completed by June. • Lafayette Street Park construction will be completed in June 2025. NEW BUSINESS • Gretchen Whitman – o Spoke on the Garden Club of Cape May applying for an ANJEC plant grant. o Nature walks lead at the new Lafayette Street Park and Cape May beaches. OPEN TO PUBLIC • No Comments. DISCUSSION: Charlott Todd • Charlott spoke on Marches in DC on March 7th, 2025. • South Carolina is creating new jobs with new solar factories. • Law changes in New Jersey aimed toward punishing corporate polluters. ADUOURNMENT: A motion to adjourn the meeting at 12:00 p.m. Next meeting is Tuesday, March 25th, 2025, at 11 a.m. in Cape May City Hall auditorium.
